Morocco is a kingdom in northwest Africa. To the north is the Mediterranean Sea and to the west is the North Atlantic Ocean. It is bordered by the Western Sahara in the south, Algeria in the east and the Spanish exclaves Ceuta and Melilla on the Mediterranean coast in the north. Morocco is separated from Spain and the British crown colony of Gibraltar by the Strait of Gibraltar. On the coast you have a direct and clear view of the European mainland, especially of Gibraltar, which is only 14 km from the Moroccan coast.
